Abdul Aziz Al-Jouf has been the CEO and founder of the ground-breaking Saudi payment processing company PayTabs since November 2013.
A serial entrepreneur and self-confessed risk-taker Al-Jouf, along with his highly successful PayTabs business, has received numerous accolades and awards.
Al-Jouf featured on the June 2018 cover of Arabian Business magazine which also ran a major interview with him and was named by Forbes Middle East as one of the leading regional figures helping to inspire and shape the future of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ.
Al-Jouf is a regular commentator for international media organizations including Bloomberg, Reuters, Sky News Arabia, CNBC and CNN Arabic.
He gained a bachelor’s degree in Islamic business from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh, in 1999, and a bachelor’s degree in information technology from the University of Nebraska Omaha, in the US, in 2005. He attained his master’s degree in e-business from the New York Institute of Technology in 2008.
He recently addressed the Financial Sector Conference, held in Riyadh, and spoke about the transformation in fintech (financial technology). The session also included discussions on new entrants, the roles of giants such as Google and Amazon, future collaboration and competition, and the best legal and regulatory framework to create a flourishing innovation environment.
Forum delegates included ministers from the finance, economy and strategic ministries, as well as top policymakers from capital markets, investment and insurance industries.
